Discover

True’s Yard Museum, was referred to us by ECS computers as a possible website transfer client. Having spoken to the new manager at True’s Yard it was obvious that their existing hosting supplier was not offering them the right level of support as the website and email services would often disappear for weeks at a time. So after providing a detailed quote of the web services, we would provide work was started on transferring the website.

Design

Over a period of six months, it became very clear that there was no realistic way of transferring the existing website. The original provider was unable to provide us with files or access to the web server and it was impossible to add the necessary software to migrate the website, so we hatched a new plan.

  1. To design and build True’s Yard Museum a new website, which would then be secured and hosted correctly on their behalf.
  2. The new website would be structured correctly with dedicated pages and specific areas for video and audio galleries, an events planner and much more.
  3. Particular attention was paid to the user experience, but also how the staff members could access and edit the new website.

Deliver

The new True’s Yard Museum website went live on the 17-03-2016, just 5 weeks after picking up some scribbled notes and a USB stick from the museum in King’s Lynn. We hope all the staff, trustees and patrons of the museum enjoy their new website, it was a real pleasure to work on this project and give something back to a community cause.

(a.k.a. Colin Needham) creative director at Tmorph Digital Design, I have been working as a designer for over three decades and have amassed a great deal of experience in digital marketing and design. I'm passionate about web design and I'm always searching for the best solutions to problems that might not have even occurred yet, guess I'm a bit of a forward thinker. If I'm not in front of a computer I'm probably behind a camera, on my bike or enjoying some music with my family.
